All is not lost…
The
Chowderfest has been rescheduled!
The rain
can’t keep the Ipswich Lions Club away for long. They have set
a new date for the Ipswich Lions Chowderfest and it is Saturday,
Oct. 18, 2008. Come to the EBSCO parking lot, by the Historic
Ipswich Riverwalk for this fun, family-friendly event from Noon
to 4:00 PM.
This event is in its 12th year
and will be held under a huge tent. So bring your family and
friends to taste the best clam chowder prepared by many of the
top restaurants on the North Shore. There will be two votes for
best clam chowder. Five well-known celebrity judges from popular
East Coast Restaurants will vote for best clam chowder, while
attendees select the # 1 chowder in the people’s choice.
This popular fall classic is one of the
North Shore’s most anticipated events. Admission is $10 per
person
at the gate;
however, you can purchase tickets in advance for $8 at Zumi’s,
River’s Edge Fine Gifts & Home Accents, both on Market Street or
at High Street Antiques across from the Middle School.
The Ipswich Lions Club looks forward to
seeing you and your family on Saturday, October 18th
at the Chowder Fest, Noon to 4:00 PM in the EBSCO
Publishing parking lot adjacent to the Ipswich River Walkway, 10
Estes Street, Ipswich. It’s easy to get to Ipswich River
Walkway; it’s right off Rte 1-A near the Visitor’s Center.
See you there.
